CURE Alpha Patch Notes v1.1.2

Cleb - August 23, 2017

The following has been added or changed in v1.1.2…

Added Patch Notes UI section to the main menu

Host Cells now have increased mass so they will be much harder to push

Increased enemy bacteria AI functionality

Enemy Bacteria now:

  • Gather resources
  • Fission
  • Explore
  • Seek out and attack the player
  • Avoid dangerous chemicals and the immune system when they are exploring

These changes greatly change the flow of the game. Now you will rarely come across 1 or 2 bacteria as they will travel in groups. Since bacteria breed now we have drastically reduced the amount of units spawned in the beginning of the match, this also aid in making the map feel much emptier in the beginning of the game. However if your not paying attention you will be descended upon by an army of bacteria hell bent on your destruction later in the match. This new AI system will continued to be tweaked and improved as we continue to work on the level system.

Known Bugs:

  • Pathogen percentage remaining will go above 100%
  • Macrophages can get stuck

v1.1.2b

  • AI Pathfinding improvements
  • Fixed Immune System Triggering Macrophages too often
  • Macrophages now target enemy units
  • Macrophages now consume dead units
  • Fixed bug where AI units would not digest dead units as expected
  • Added nutrients to player spawn location
  • Fixed bug where AI would attack dead player units
  • Fixed bug where AI mutations were audible to the player
  • General improvements to AI
  • Fixed bug that allowed players to fission and digest dead units at the same time
  • Fixed bug with Protein absorption where it would incorrectly show a unit as being in protein
  • Increased mass of Macrophage
  • Bug with Charge has been fixed
