Dev Blog #22 – V1.1.1 Patch and Ongoing development

There is a new patch this week. V1.1.1 Completely changes the soldier’s main attack. Instead of having to pre-cast your Injectisomes your Soldier will automatically attack any enemy it collides with. This new ability called Type VI Secretion is in its fledgling state and may be subject to changes in the future. We think this is a great change to the Soldiers play style making it a true front line melee unit, unlike before where hit and run tactics made more sense. We may see the original Soldier Type III Injectisomes on a new unit in the future where that mechanic makes sense. And a special thank you to everyone who sent us feedback on the Soldier that helped us a lot.
Up and Coming:
We are hard at work adding in a whole new system for creating your experiments. Players will now be able to choose what kind of match they want to play. This new system will also include new game modes and challenges.
Thanks to the community reporting bugs we have also identified some problems that will be fixed in the next patch. Bug reports help us track down issues quickly, and we love getting feedback from the community, so please keep sending us bug reports and feel free to come by our subreddit and share your thoughts with us.
