New Year News
Anji Scalf - February 4, 2016
We are one month into 2016 and it is already shaping up to be a busy year for CURE! Several notable things have happened.
Newsletters
We have started sending bimonthly newsletters to our subscribers. We will be using this avenue to update folks of our progress, share concept and game art as we progress and give notable news to our fans.
Forums
We opened our community forum on our website – our goal is to hear from gamers and scientists in order to perfect CURE. It is a great venue to contact us directly and converse with the community as a whole. This site is going to be used throughout the testing and release of the game so we hope it will be a great resource for our community!
Crowdfunding!
We have chosen a platform for crowdfunding – we are excited to begin working with Gamekicker! Gamekicker is the first crowdfunding platform made specifically for indie games. This platform started because crowdfunding for video games has been far from perfect. The founders saw that they could greatly improve the way games are crowdfunded with a platform that is specifically built for crowdfunding video games. Their ideals match ours, Gamekicker is run by gamers and for gamers and they have been incredibly helpful at helping us hone our message and develop our marketing strategy while we continue to craft the game. Gamekickers support will allow us to fund our game while continuing to strive for the ideals of our company – a fun and well made game that will shake up the RTS genre.
Public Alpha Demo
Our developers have been hard at work crafting a playable Single Player Demo of CURE. We have worked out a lot of bugs and are full steam ahead on a level that will show off some of my favorite and exciting features in CURE . Soon you will be able to play a part of CURE absolutely free! We are going to give access to this demo to everyone that is signed up to our newsletter.
Social Media
We have added a lot more content to our social media pages, if you want updates check out our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Imgur and our new Subreddit pages. There is lots of game art, updates, and inspiration available on these sites and it is a great way to keep abreast of our progress!
In the next month we will be launching our alpha demo, our crowdfunding campaign at Gamekicker, and a Steam Greenlight campaign. It is safe to say that we are both really busy and excited over here. We are working super hard, surviving on gallons of coffee, and each day we are closer and closer to the release of CURE! Thank you for your continued support! Stay tuned for more updates about game content coming soon.
