Dev Blog #20 – Genetic Engineering Patch Incoming!!

After months of hard work, we are proud to report that the genetic engineering patch is going live soon!

This will be our first major step into creating a sense of progression in CURE. This addition will give players the ability to upgrade their units and create their own unique strategies. There are tons of other changes that we are proud of and we will be releasing detailed patch notes soon.

We also want to expand the amount of players in the alpha to get as much great feedback as we can, so we will be holding another round of promotional alpha keys giveaways over the next month. If you are not already in the alpha and would like to be in the running to receive a key, you are welcome to sign up for our newsletter; players that are signed up for the newsletter are most likely to receive promotional keys as well as news about the development of CURE.

Starting soon we are going to be creating videos as well as possibly doing live streams to help teach people the intricacies of the new system. When the new system is released we are going to need a lot of feedback as this system is very unique – so we are looking forward to feedback and suggestions as we fine-tune genetic engineering. You can contribute towards these ends and join the CURE community by commenting on our youtube videos, or posting in our subreddit, or emailing us suggestions.

We are hoping to get back onto a more frequent patch schedule after the launch of this major upgrade. Our next task will be to create a progression to the levels creating a difficulty curve and giving the players incentive to upgrade their units and improve. We will also be continually adding new abilities and units as we go – so look forward to lots more content coming soon!
